Founded in 1993, Sindal, Lda. has gained an enviable reputation in Portugal for both quality and service, which the company has built upon, enabling it to become a region’s major supplier within the respective sector.
Sindal, Lda. specialises in the importation and distribution of British and international food and drink products for both the Retail and Catering sectors and handles ambient, chilled and frozen products.
The Company’s long term objectives are the same as when it was formed-namely to provide quality, availability and an efficient service for its clients, whilst working closely with its manufacturing and supply partners, to gain both increased exposure and volume growth for the represented products, in all sectors.
Current Markets
In the retail sector the company has in excess of 300 Supermarket clients and supply contracts with the majority of the principal store groups, including Intermarché, Alicoop, Continente, Modelo, Makro, El Corte Inglés, E. Leclerc, Auchan (Jumbo and Pão de Açúcar), SPAR and Ponto Fresco.
The Catering sector has in excess of 1200 clients, across the size range, including restaurants, hotels, bars, discos, off-licenses, golf clubs and water parks.

Premises
Sindal headquarters include 1300m2 of Warehousing and Offices, as well as its own Frozen and Chilled Storage facilities.
Transport
The Company has a fleet of 18 vehicles covering the region. Deliveries range from daily to weekly depending upon the needs and location of the client.
Staff
Sindal currently has 24 Permanent Staff which is supplemented with seasonal staff as required.
Sales Force
Sindal has a Sales Director, 6 representatives plus a telesales operation and 24 hour answer phone service. All the sales staff is fluent in Portuguese and English.
